The Scalloped Crystal Bobeche

Profile

A wide, dish-like crystal element with radial facets, traditionally used to catch wax — reimagined as a reflective light spreader at the base of the candelabra arms.

Function

Amplifies the downward glow of the bulbs and serves as the structural base for the candelabra sleeves, grounding the upper tiers of the chandelier.

Maintenance

As a horizontal cupped surface, the bobeche is the primary collection point for falling dust. Most are removable for a gentle warm-soapy-water wash. Buff dry with microfiber to avoid streaks.
